SALES CENTRE IN AIRDRIE Townhomes to fly at Ravenswood
A veteran multi-family homebuilder hopes buyers fly to Ravenswood for the company's first project in Airdrie.
Slokker Canada West opened a sales centre Friday for its Ravenswood Townhomes.
The development will include 83 units in two- and three bedroom floor plans with attached garages. The project is on the corner of Kings Heights Gate and Ravenswood Drive in Airdrie.
The townhomes will capture the attention of home hunters because of the project's commitment to quality finishings, including full-height cabinets and soft-close hardware, says Peter Paauw, president of Slokker Canada West.
“They are built with single-family home details in mind,” says Paauw. “We want to make sure it stands the test of time.”
The starting price, including GST, is in the $240,000s.
Units are offered in two types of layouts — one called the Heritage, which is three storeys, and another named Sagestone, a two-storey home. The Heritage is offered in four configurations.
Along with the project, this complex will be a draw because of the community, adds Paauw.
“I think for young starters, it’s ideally located,” he says, adding there’s quick access to Highway 2 for a commute to Calgary.
“It’s a two minute drive to the grocery stores and close-by school. All the services are close by.”
Show homes for the project will open later this year. But before then, for an idea of what to expect in Ravenswood, Paauw suggests a visit to the builder’s Chestermere Station development in Chestermere.
“While the exterior is a bit different, the interiors give you an excellent idea of what you’re buying,” he says. Chestemere Station is at 300 Marina Dr. in Chestermere.
Slokker Canada West also builds in Sage Hill, Taralake and Silverado in Calgary and Jumping Pound Ridge in Cochrane.
