Wayne and Lisa Giles AGES: In their midtwenties. BACKGROUND: Wayne is a mechanical engineer, while Lisa is studying to be an environmental technologist at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. The couple wanted something central and with walkable amenities. They turned to University City which is a transit oriented development, because it was both. The development is only a short walk from shops and services and sits adjacent to the Brentwood LRT station. The Giles bought a two-bedroom apartment in its third of five buildings. They say they like the floor plans openness and natural light, thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows.
