DESIGN: Lots to like
Its first building is sold out. One of the apartments is a two-bedroom corner unit called C1.
In a thoughtful design, the bedrooms are placed on opposite ends of the 982-square-foot plan. Separated by a great room, dining area and kitchen, they’ve got their side of the apartment and you’ve got your own.
One bedroom connects to walk-through closet and an ensuite and the other sits next to a full bathroom.
There’s plenty to like about this common space, where an open-concept design connects the three rooms. This makes it easy to flow from one room to the next, creating an environment well-suited for entertaining.
The kitchen features an L-shaped counter and an island with an eating bar. It has stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops and a wide range of cabinets for storing pots and pans.
The dining area is in front of the kitchen. It has more than enough room for a table of eight, great for hosting family and friends for the holidays.
Off the dining area is a linen closet and another closet where a stacked frontload washer and dryer are tucked away.
The great room features tall windows, including glass doors that step out to a deck.
Soaring ceilings and oversized windows typically make homes feel bigger and more airy — and this apartment is no exception.
The suite boasts towering nine-foot ceilings that make an impression from the first step through the front door.
Outside that front door is also part of the draw in buying at The Edge, says lead sales consultant Tyler Scott.

It’s also just a few steps from a major recreation facility, which will appeal to people looking to keep fit.
“We’re right beside Genesis Place and it’s pretty impressive to have this facility in Airdrie. Literally, you can almost touch it from here,” says Scott.
