East Village is a city-led redevelopment of land between historic Fort Calgary and the Bow River east of City Hall.
It faces the river to the north and Ninth Avenue to the south. Since 2007, $180 million in infrastructure improvements have been put in the ground.
There’s also new segments such as RiverWalk, a stylish pathway with benches and view spots of the river.
Funding has also been secured for the transformation of the historic King Edward Hotel as part of the new National Music Centre.
