Construction has started on an Ontario cottage-themed condo project in Auburn Bay.

Muskoka is the latest townhome project by Brookfield Homes, which features one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans starting from the mid$200,000s.

This is the company’s third development in Auburn Bay, following Mosaic Montage and Mosaic Lakeside.

Muskoka continues many of the tried-and-true plans Brookfield has used in its other multi-family projects, while introducing its latest model, the Mikado.

“It has a great entertaining space, very similar to the look and feel of our typical 1,200-square-foot townhomes,” says multi-family sales manager Kelly Halliday.

The Mikado has a 1,155-square-foot floor plan that includes two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms.

Overall, Muskoka’s plans come in a wide range of sizes.

On the smaller end, they include the Ivory at 720 square feet and the Ruby at 800 square feet. From there, it’s the 1,189-square-foot Slate, and the 1,203-square-foot Indigo, Carmine and Crimson.

The two largest layouts are the 1,388-square-foot Olive and the 1,425-square-foot Sienna.

Specifications in the kitchens at Muskoka include stainless-steel appliances such as a built-in dishwasher and microwave hood fan. There’s also a laminate counter with a ceramic backsplash and prefinished cabinet doors.

The project’s show homes are expected to be open in the spring. Brookfield’s most recent Auburn Bay project, Mosaic Lakeside, is coming to a close, with around five homes remaining.

The builder also offers Sideby-Side homes in the community from the low $300,000s. For this option, there are six options to choose from, ranging from 1,116 to 1,413 square feet. [email protected]ALD.COM TWITTER. COM/ CALHERALDHOMES FACEBOOK. COM/ CALHERALDHOMES
