Beautiful sights, inside and out
Townhomes offer green park setting
They’ve seen the plans on paper — now people looking at an estate multi-family project in southeast Calgary can experience it for themselves.
Mosaic Riverstone by Brookfield Residential opens two show homes today.
The 64-unit, estate townhome development is at 98 Cranbrook Dr. S.E. in the upscale community of Riverstone of Cranston.
Its show homes consist of the Slate II and Olive II models. The project also offers a third layout, called Hunter. Townhomes in the development start in the mid-$400,000s.
“I think people have to feel it and see it and touch it in order for people to really understand the beauty of the homes and the community,” says sales manager Kelly Halliday.
“That’s when we gave prospective buyers an understanding of what we’re offering here,” says Halliday.
“They can stand up in that Olive unit and look at the views of the park space, and from the Slate look at the green space going in behind.”
In the townhomes, upscale finishes are part of the package, including features such as stainless-steel appliances, hardwood and tile flooring, and quartz or granite counters.
They also have two-car attached garages.
The Slate II is 1,413 square feet with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Its show home is finished in a contemporary, Hampton’s Beach design.
“It has a great entertaining kitchen, with a large island that opens to the living space,” says Halliday.
There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms in the Olive II, which has a 1,612-square-foot floor plan.
“This home was done with a really rich and warm appeal,” says Halliday. “When you walk in, you can see the touches of gold — the burned orange and amber.”
Like the Slate II, the townhome also boasts a large kitchen and entertaining space.
“It has also an extremely large balcony so you can take the party from inside to outside,” says Halliday about the more than 250-square-foot outdoor space.
In Riverstone of Cranston, space to enjoy the fresh air and the surrounding natural beauty is important, says Halliday. The community is near Fish Creek Provincial Park and the Bow River valley.
“It provides home buyers with the opportunity to be close to nature and natural amenities but still in the city,” says Halliday.
“When you drive down that hill, you see the sun setting and you see the park space and all the green space and the natural amenities within the community, it’s really just a beautiful setting.
“I can’t begin to imagine what it would be like sitting out on a nice summer’s evening and on the balcony and just gazing at all that in front of you.”
The first two sets of homeowners took possession last month and more are expected to move in this March. The show homes are open 2 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and noon to 5 p.m. on Fridays, weekends and holidays.
