Peaked rooflines create character

With their tall, peaked rooflines, the bedrooms in Arrive at Redstone offer character. And what better place to peacefully contemplate peaked ceilings and the play of sunlight across tall walls than from the comfort of bed?

Arrive at Redstone is a collection of 164 units of townhomes by Partners Development Group that stand sentinel on one side of Redstone, with a row of homes overlooking a pond.

The two show homes now open are an end unit and an inner unit of the Windstone floor plan, one of three plans that also include the Earthstone and Waterstone configurations with a range in size from 1,173 to 1,590 square feet.

The end unit Windstone show home presents a twobedroom layout with a total of 1,348 square feet.

Upstairs, the master bedroom enjoys the view of a peaked ceiling with a matching window. The room offers two large closets and an ensuite.

The master ensuite holds a tub and shower combination with natural light from a narrow, horizontal window up high on the wall.

The quartz banjo-style countertop is complemented by a large tile surround with a natural striated pattern. Dark cabinetry offers storage space under the sink.

Along the hallway toward the back of the house, a stacked laundry closet is to the right, while the main bathroom, with a large shower with a rain head, is to the left.

The bedroom at the back of the home is only slightly smaller than the master bedroom and has a lofty slanted ceiling. It features a walkin closet.

While the main living floor offers an open-concept layout, the kitchen provides enough separation between the dining nook and the living room that these spaces feel quite their own.

The dining nook is bright, with sliding glass doors out onto a balcony.

The kitchen is an elegant, long space, with a central island running lengthwise through the centre of the living space.

The white quartz countertop on the island is extended at both ends with room for a pair of bar stools each.

Dark flat-panel cabinetry extends to the ceiling for maximum storage, along with a tall pantry at one end.

The ground level offers space for a den next to the front entrance and closet.

There is room for a half-bathroom and a single-car garage as well.

The Arrive townhomes are certified by the Built Green program, to standardized sustainable building practices.

The homes have an EnerGuide Rating of 80-plus points and Goldlevel Built Green. The homes include various energy-saving items, including heat-recovery ventilators for clean air quality, 96 per cent high-efficiency furnaces and electric water heaters, EnergyStar appliances, large and bright low-E windows, and water-saver faucets and toilets.
