Syntax a letter-perfect choice for buyers
SabalSmart’s charmer packs in many features
What writer-editor type could resist visiting a home named Syntax? Not this one! I’ve always loved thinking about the structure of sentences, how words rubbing up against each other bring meaning through their connections.
This connectivity is carried through the Syntax show home by Sabal Homes, from its basement to its second floor. It follows rules of excellent design, just as a wellcrafted sentence does.
It is one of two duplex show homes — the other is the Sonik — on display in Mahogany, a masterplanned community by Hopewell.
The Syntax is one of three models, which also include the Serif, in the SabalSmart line of attached and laned homes.
The Syntax is a 1,293-square-foot home that is immediately welcoming. Central to this is a stylish kitchen, with open beams and wood details on the ceiling.
The wood above ties into the warmth of the medium-tone hardwood floor underfoot.
The kitchen is bright with small circular white tile backsplash that stretches from the light grey quartz countertop to the ceiling.
Location of the show home.
White cabinetry with flat panels and long, slender stainless steel hardware provides a clean look.
A single cabinet with open shelves provides a showcase for special dishes.
The central island features waterfall treatment on both sides. It offers an extended ledge for eating, and a wide, clear space for working.
The long, deep window above the undermount sink provides plenty of natural light to the room.
From the kitchen, a passage leads to the mud room and back door, as well as to a half-bathroom. The dining area is spacious, and serves to provide a separation be- tween the kitchen at the back of the home and the great room at the front.
The upper floor of the Syntax offers three different configurations to choose from, including a three-bedroom layout with one main bathroom, a three-bedroom with a master retreat with ensuite, or dual master retreats.
The show home presents the middle option.
Upstairs, two secondary bedrooms are found at the back of the house. With large windows, these are bright rooms, and they both also have a good amount of storage space in their closets. They share the main bathroom, which has a single vanity and tub with shower.
The master bedroom, also bright, has a large window and is located at the front of the home. Upon entering this room, the spacious walk-in closet is to the immediate left. The ensuite, with a single-sink vanity, has a tub and shower combination.
With a window at one end of the room, there is ample natural light.
The basement of the Syntax show home is finished, and includes a bright and spacious rec room, complete with a small play stage for children, along with the family area for watching television and movies. There is a separate bedroom and a full bathroom, which also houses a stacked laundry pair.
The rec room of the Syntax show home has a high ceiling and large windows and offers plenty of space for a family to spread out and relax.
A backsplash of small circular white tiles is repeated on the walls of the kitchen in the Syntax A show home by Sabal Homes, making the room appear bright and clean.
The master bedroom in the Syntax A show home has an ensuite bathroom, while there are two other bedrooms on the second floor.
One of the three second-floor plans for the Syntax includes a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
