Out of touch

Re: “Election races to watch in Alberta,” March 27.

Tom Flanagan said Calgary East is one of the weaker ridings for the Tories, and may be the best hope for the Liberals.

I have been involved in Calgary East since it was formed in 1997. Flanagan’s assessment is not only out of touch with reality, but it shows someone whose political judgment is mired in the past. The Liberal candidate who first ran in this riding in 1997 is now the strongest supporter of the Conservative candidate. Subsequently, other Liberal challengers have been visitors to the riding. We have seen candidates in this riding from northwest Calgary, Red Deer and Fort Macleod. Please, Tom, spare us your out-of-touch political commentary.
