MATTERN, Frank Nicholas

Frank Mattern of Calgary passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the age of 68 years. Frank was born in Calgary where he resided his entire life. He was a "Master Electricia­n" and a long-time member of the IBEW. He enjoyed camping, fishing, rodeos and spending time with his grandchild­ren. He loved to play tricks on unsuspecti­ng victims. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carol Mattern; daughters Adele Mattern (Tyler Kroeker) and Michelle Mattern of Calgary and Sherry (Don) Mcallister of San Jose, California. He is also survived by his loving son Michael Mattern of Calgary, and was predecease­d by his loving son Trent Mattern on November 15, 2004. He is also survived by his brothers Ed (Norma) Mattern and Kim (Pat) Mattern. Frank will be sadly missed by his grandchild­ren Amanda and Kody of Calgary, Alexander and Landon of San Jose, California as well as his precious great-granddaugh­ter Cheyanne and numerous nieces and nephews. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at MCINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at MCINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
