Randall (Randy) Alexander Adrian Moore, age 25, peacefully rambled onward February 15, 2012 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, B.C., surrounded by his loving family. Scores of friends travelled from across the continent to surround him with love and visit him at his bedside. Randy is remembered with love by his parents, Patricia Lynn and Ronald, and his sister, Allison. Grandson to Phyllis and Roy Moore of St. Petersburg, Florida. Nephew to Sue Axsmith of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Marilyn Moore of Toronto, Anne and Steve Sunkel of Key West, Florida and Sharon and Bob Moore of Pass-a-grille, Florida. Cousin to Lauren and Stephen Moore of Pass-a-grille, Florida and Jamie Lynn and Christopher of Albert Lea, Minnesota. Randy wheeled into our lives and changed us all for the better, inspiring us to live our lives the way he did: to the fullest, and with an abundance of humour and compassion. Whether it was during a jam session or movie night, a football game or heated political discussion, Randy had an amazing ability to bring people together. He was one-of-a-kind and never forgotten once he first touched your heart. His character and strength will leave a lasting impression on all of us. As the first goaltender for the Calgary Scorpions sledge hockey team, he was known for his sense of humour, strong character and great sportsmanship. Randy was born in Calgary, Alberta and attended Midnapore Elementary, Midsun Junior High and Lord Beaverbrook High School. Randy completed his BA in Political Science at the University of Victoria in 2010, and was the author of Advancing human rights and assessing the Future Potential of the ICC published in the Journal On Politics Spring 2009 i ssue. Before he passed, Randy was pursuing his Masters degree in Dispute Resolution at the University of Victoria, where his choice to focus his thesis on negotiating with dictators raised eyebrows amongst classmates and professors alike. Randy has always placed a positive spin on all circumstances, known no boundaries or limitations and lifted the spirits of those around him. He will be profoundly missed and his legacy will live on in us all. Relatives and friends are invited to his Calgary Life Celebration March 11 at Hotel Arts at 1:00 p.m. and his Victoria Life Celebration March 16 at the University of Victoria Multifaith Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Forward condolences through his blog: http://ramblinrandle.wordpress.com.
