Gary Ham’s Driving Journal

Day 1

Found the car to be very roomy inside and has very good visibility with no major blind spots.

Day 2

Tried all the controls for the info centre and found it very easy to figure out. I also thought the radio and heat controls are very well thought out.

Day 3

Did not find the driver’s seat very comfortable and the manual seat controls did not help much, but I did like the high seat back and functional headrest.

Day 4

I find the diesel engine to be quiet and very powerful, but it has a bit of a hesitation when accelerating from zero.

Day 5

Tried driving today with the transmission in sport mode. The engine was more responsive due to delaying shift points at higher r.p.m. The sport mode also seemed to reduce the hesitation when accelerating from zero.

Day 6

Took a highway drive to High River. The car was very smooth and quiet at highway speed. The cruise control was very easy to use and I liked that the info centre displayed the set speed.

Day 7

Filled it up with diesel today, was very impressed with the fuel economy.
