Walkin’ in a winter wonderland

The recent four-day airing of Live with Kelly from Banff showed Americans that Banff is a yearround winter wonderland. There were no images, videos, discussions or ads about how beautiful Lake Louise and Banff are in the summertime, with no snow, a lovely lake, summer activities, mountain hiking. No, it’s just a frozen wilderness! Terrible blunder by Travel Alberta.

It will attract skiers, etc., but forget about summer vacationers from the U.S. For $1.5 million, someone at the tourist centre should have thought about spring, fall and especially summer. They could attract many more Americans if they saw other things besides snow, snow, snow.
