Creating a haven for healing

-

Adated living room and bedroom have been turned into a haven of comfort for one Calgary woman with ovarian cancer.

The newly redesigned space was revealed recently to rave reviews from Evelyne Demas and her husband, Les.

The redesign was organized by Haven for Healing, a project by the Canadian Redesigners Association that offers free room makeovers across Canada to women in treatment for, or living with, ovarian cancer.

Five volunteer redesigners from Calgary worked on the space, led by Linda Hamilton of Creative Change Interiors Ltd., the western regional volunteer co-ordinator for the CRDA. Donations from Cedarglen Homes and from family and friends helped make the project possible, including new furniture, window coverings, fabric and decorative items.

If you are, or know of, a woman who has ovarian cancer and who would benefit from a Haven for Healing, you can contact the Canadian Redesigners Association at 1-800-950-CRDA (2732) or visit canadianredesignersassociation.org.
