A cause benefiting the city’s homeless was awarded a $10,000 donation in the Brookfield Homes’ ultimate show home charity challenge.

After receiving more than 47 per cent of votes, the Calgary Homeless Foundation won the challenge.

More than 2,000 votes were cast at the builder’s three new show homes in Auburn Bay during the month-long competitio­n. Two other charities involved in the contest, the Calgary Food Bank and the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter, walked away with $5,000 each thanks to a donation from Brookfield Residentia­l.
