Running condo boards among topics at seminar
Taking the plunge into condo ownership means things like enjoying a maintenance-free lifestyle — but it can come with some other responsibilities.
The Canadian Condominium Institute –South Alberta chapter is hosting a course on condo board governance and how to run board meetings.
Condominium Management 101 will be held at the Danish Canadian Club from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 19.
The seminar will cover topics such as conflict of interest, board confiden- tiality, bylaws, directors’ code of ethics, proxies, the appointment and role of officers, and the Condominium Property Act.
The course will be instructed by Stephen Cassady, president of CCISouth Alberta.
CCI is an independent, non-profit organization that offers programs for condo owners, managers and directors.
