BELTLINE ON THE RISE

Named after an early 20th-century streetcar route, Calgary’s Beltline area is immediately south of 9th Avenue and is bounded by 17th Avenue to the south, 14th Street to the west and the Elbow River to the east.

The area is experiencing enormous gentrifi- cation and includes the trendy Design District on 11th Avenue, as well as the shops and restaurants of 17th Avenue.

Several highrise condo towers are slated for the Beltline in the next few years.
