Lake Koocanusa is a 152-kilometre body of water that stretches from north of Cranbrook, B.C., through northwest Montana.

The lake reaches 80 kilometres into Canada and 72 kilometres into the United States.

Lake Koocanusa is known as a magnet for fishing enthusiast­s, offering a wide assortment of fish.

Rainbow trout, whitefish, kokanee salmon, bull trout and cutthroat trout all populate Lake Koocanusa.

In addition to fishing, the lake is also a destinatio­n for boating, water-skiing and other water sports.
