-

The Calgary concert landscape of today is looking a whole like one from the ’80s and ’90s with the announcement of several new shows coming through town. First is the lineup for this year’s X-fest, which will take place Sept. 1 at Fort Calgary and feature as the main headliner ’90s hard rockers Linkin Park (for complete story and lineup please see page F3).

Next up is the announcement of an Aug. 13 Jubilee show by veteran blues rocker Bonnie Raitt. Tickets to see the guitarist, who has just released a new album, Slipstream, range from $45.50 to $90 (plus service charges) and go on sale Friday from livenation.com.

Another blast from the past will hit the Dome Sept. 9, as ’80s Swedish pop act Roxette rolls into town with Canadian band Glass Tiger. Tickets for that show also go on sale Friday from livenation.com and range from $19.99 to $75 (plus service charges).

And finally, ticket information for the Nov. 19 Saddledome show by the Red Hot Chili Peppers has finally be announced. Also going on sale Friday from livenation.com, the tickets for the recently inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are $39.50 and $69.50 (plus service charges).
