Williams on board for Dawson’s Creek reunion

-

Now that James Van Der Beek is a working actor again, just like his Dawson’s Creek castmates, the buzz for a TV reunion is on. Van Der Beek plays a version of himself on ABC’S Don’t Trust the B---- in Apt. 23, and as the former Dawson Leery said during a recent interview, he’d be up for a DC reunion as long as “somebody came up with a really brilliant idea and it was great.”

And now Michelle Williams, who played bad girl Jennifer Lindley on the series, says she wants to take a return trip to the Creek.

“I’m totally up for reunion tours, reunion shows, so we can do that,” the Oscar-nominated actress told Vulture at a screening of her new Toronto-based film, Take This Waltz. “I’ve always wanted to. It’s just timing, because of L.A. and New York, and it hasn’t happened.”

Williams claimed that, despite her enthusiasm, Van Der Beek has yet to contact her.

“He has my e-mail!” she said, laughing. “He has my home phone, and my cellphone, so we talk.”

While news of a possible reunion gets us as excited as Pacey eyeing his impossibly attractive high school teacher, we can see one little hitch in Williams’s plan: Her character died in the show’s final season. Van Der Beek commented on that fact, too. “I always love that Michelle is like, ‘I definitely wanna do it! I’m in!’ which is so easy for her to say because her character is dead,” Van Der Beek recently told Entertainment Weekly, referring to a 2011 interview when Williams told Ryan Seacrest that she would be up for a reunion. “I always smile when I see that.”

As for Dawson’s Creek’s other stars, Katie Holmes told Good Morning America last November that, given the chance, she’d reprise her role as girl next door Joey Potter.
