Nolan Hill houses launched
Nolan Hill’s first show home parades open this weekend. Six builders will be showcased in two show home parades in the northwest Calgary neighbourhood starting at 11 a.m. today.
“We’re hoping for a great turnout,” says Megan Klippenstine, marketing manager for United Communities, the developer of Nolan Hill.
One parade will have laned housing, while the other will feature front-attached garage homes.
Both parades include a show home from each of the six builders, which include Shane Homes, Sterling Homes, Morrison Homes, Greenboro Style, Homes by Avi and Trico Homes.
Laned homes start in the $300,000s, while the front-attached garage homes are from the $380,000s.
Nolan Hill was named to honour the late Ron Nolan, who served as CEO of the United Development Institute (UDI).
Nolan is the inspiration behind the Ron Nolan Memorial Award, which is presented annually to an active member of UDI for longtime contribution to the institute and development industry as a whole.
Nolan Hill’s architectural theme for its home designs is the British Isles, says Klippenstine, adding that there is an emphasis on natural features that “compliment the surrounding landscape.”
“It is a very unique community,” he says.
Nolan Hill is spread out over about 162 hectares and its master-planned by United Communities. It’s located west of Shaganappi Trail and attached to Sage Hill, another neighbourhood developed by United Communities.
When fully developed, Nolan Hill will have more than 2,000 single-family homes.
While Klippenstine says the expected demographic for Nolan Hill should be a mix, she adds that the first few phases will cater to families buying their first home.
Future phases in Nolan Hill, which are expected to open closer to the end of the year, will be located on the ridge of the property and boast larger lots.
