Use the sample table and the explanation of each line below to help you interpret the detailed results for each school. Families choosing a school for their students should seek to confirm the Report Card’s findings by visiting the school and interviewing teachers and school administrators. More information regarding schools may be found on Alberta Education’s website at <http://www.education.alberta.ca/ home.aspx> and on the websites of Alberta’s local school authorities and of individual schools. And, of course, a sound academic program should be complemented by effective programs in areas of school activity not measured by the Report Card.
IMPORTANT: In order to get the most from the Report Card, readers should consult the complete table of results for each school of interest. By considering several years of results—rather than just a school’s rank in the most recent year—readers can get a better idea of how the school is likely to perform in the future.
