Bombers finally hit the win column last week, and return of receiver Cory Watson was huge. But the Alouettes, struggling as they are, still have more talent and should bounce back from two straight losses. Montreal.

Definitely the more intriguing of the two weekend games. Ricky Ray and the Argo offence will get a stiffer test than they faced last weekend in Montreal, and this Braley Bowl will be the litmus test of whether the Argos are for real. They are.

Toronto.

This game hardly shapes up as a thriller with two bottom-feeding teams clashing in what some may call the toilet bowl. Anthony Calvillo says he feels the Als are on the brink of a turnaround. The future Hall-of-Famer deserves the benefit of the doubt — in spite of evidence to the contrary. Montreal.

Our advice to Ricky Ray: stock up on Advil before the game, for you will certainly need it the morning after facing the ferocious B.C front seven. And that Lions secondary is just so savvy — so get ready for a tough day at the office. We bet Bryon Parker has no problem getting up for this one. The Lions are just too strong.

Winnipeg fans showed that the old stadium that should have been vacated this year can still be deafening when it’s packed. If Montreal’s offence can execute, Als should be OK. If the Bombers make plays early and get the crowd going, it could be a long night for Calvillo. Montreal.

The early start (Toronto’s third this year) could work in the Argo’s favour and they have the momentum of a two-game winning streak behind them. The Lions have their share of momentum behind them too, though, coming off of their trouncing of Calgary. Lulay is more likely to click first with his receivers and that could be enough for the Lions.
