Re: “Free to be herself, Ambrose defines feminism,” Naomi Lakritz, Opinion, Oct. 3.

Feminism is defined as, among other things, defending political, economic and social rights for women (wikipedia.com). If that’s the case, how can Naomi Lakritz state Rona Ambrose is embracing feminism when Ambrose is advocating to retract women’s social rights by reopening this debate in Parliament?

Feminism embraces more values than being able to speak one’s mind, and in this case, Lakritz misses the bigger picture.
