Scarlet fashion fosters heart awareness
Bone and joint disease, as you have just read, is a very serious problem. Yet, for the most part, it won’t kill you. Would that this be the case with heart and stroke disease which is the No. 1 killer of women. Heart disease and stroke kills seven times more women than breast cancer and in fact kills more women than all cancers combined.
The recent Heart Truth Fashion Show held on Sept. 22 at Eighth Avenue Place raised funds and created much-need awareness for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Celebs took to the catwalk wearing one-ofa-kind designer clothing in brilliant red. Professional models from Sophia Models rounded out the show wearing clothing from various retailers at Chinook. Congrats to event organizers Bill Giofu, Shahr Savizi and Jacqueline Tyler.
