Wildrose needed

Re: “Tories don’t need Wildrose to make them look bad,” Graham Thomson, Opinion, Oct. 27.

True, but Graham Thomson should know well that the conservative press needs and welcomes the presence of the Wildrose to make the PCs look bad.

The only thing that has changed in two-plus decades of no ethics and no public exposure and accountability is that conservative media now have an acceptable alternative in the wings.

There has been no requirement to ever answer for entrenched entitlement and arrogance when the watchdog chooses to be a lapdog, and leads the cheers. Just look at 20 years of unreserved editorial endorsements.
