Late travellers wait ‘longer’

-

TORONTO • Lineups at airport security checkpoints may not be so long.

According to quarterly surveys by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, perceived wait times vary by traveller. Those arriving a couple of hours before their flight say the wait time is more acceptable than those who arrive at the last minute — even when their wait time is the same, says CATSA spokesman Mathieu Larocque.

CATSA asks that travellers ease holiday season lineups by following the rule limiting containers of liquids, gels and aerosols to 100 millilitres in carry-on bags.
