Jan. 6: Interfaith Sermon: Buddha and Jesus, at 9:50 a.m. The first in a series of interfaith services at Living Spirit United Church, 629 49 Ave SW 403-243-3180

Jan. 6: Christ Church celebrates 100 years in Elbow Park with a 1912 choral Eucharist. Everyone encouraged to wear period clothes (bonnets, gloves, walking sticks and morning suits) for the nostalgic service. 3602 8th Street SW 403-243-4680

Jan. 6: Twelfth Night Choral Celebration at Deer Park United on at 7 p.m. Deer Park choir will be joined by Corpus Christi Male Chorale, LDS Church choir, High Country Chorale, Okotoks Men’s Chorus, Okotoks UC choir and Red Deer Lake UC choir. Come and hear the favourite and best music of the season. Goodwill offering. Refreshments to follow. Everyone welcome.

Jan. 6: The Christmas season will conclude with the celebration of Epiphany at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m., 8007 Bowness, to be followed by fellowship with home baked goodies and beverages.

Jan. 9: Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 8007 Bowness Rd NW invites everybody for the Community Supper from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., for a free nutritious meal. Children are being cared for by the Kids Care Club.

Jan. 26: Robbie Burns Dinner at 6 p.m. at Renfrew United Church (956 Radnor Avenue N.E.) Tickets $18/adult, $5/ child (under 12). Tickets can be ordered either from the church office 403-277-1571 or Mary 403-277-1645. Everyone is welcome!
