Pick it up

-

Every year, I wait for the complaining to start about the garbage in the city and I have not been disappointed this year.

If it so concerns you, why not bend down, if you can get down off your high horse, and pick it up, instead of waiting for “the city” to do it?

You are part of the city, too, and thinking that paying taxes covers off any responsibility you have to take care of the city is naive. Many people take on this task in their neighbourhoods and along our major roadways. So all you complainers — don’t expect others to do it. You can make a difference in how the city looks while getting some fresh air and exercise. It can be very habit forming.
