Pedestrian killed by cement truck

accident • A 23-year-old man died after he was hit by a cement truck in Inglewood on Tuesday evening.

Police were called after a pedestrian was hit on northbound 12th Street S.E. between 9th and 10th Avenues. The fatal crash happened at about 5 p.m.

“EMS transported an adult male patient to Foothills Hospital in critical, life-threatening condition where he since succumbed to his injuries,” said EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux.

Police shut down the road for several hours, but it was expected to reopen later Tuedsay night.
