Youths arrested after string of arsons in south Calgary
Crime • Two youths have been arrested in connection with a series of recent arsons in the city’s south side.
Police said between May 1 and July 10, they investigated nine fires they say were intentionally set in recycling bins and parked, unattended vehicles. Just before 4 a.m. Tuesday, officers pulled over a suspicious vehicle near Bullhead Road S.W. and two youths were arrested without incident.
Charges are pending. More information is expected to be released once charges are laid.
