Call it a wash

Re: “City not consulted on flood policy, Nenshi says,” July 17.

Oh, dear! You, too? Doesn’t feel nice, does it?

Anyway, as I have tried to understand the provincial flood policy with an open mind, I am left with the following conclusions: My property value was already eroded by Mother Nature, and is being further devalued by the provincial government and its inability to figure out floodplain mapping and policies associated with such.

I look forward to my new property tax assessment. I expect it to be substantially less than what I paid this year.

I guess we’ll just have to call that a wash.
