DAILY DISH YYComedy Fest serious about expanding

Festival • Comedy’s a funny business, but The YYComedy Festival is serious about expanding its scope in its sophomore year.

A who’s who of Canada’s comedy scene — from Nikki Payne to Derek Edwards to Steve Patterson — has been added to this year’s lineup, it was announced yesterday.

They join previously announced talent (Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, The Debaters, Andy Kindler) at the event, which runs Sept. 9 through 15 at various venues in town.

Events range from a taping of CBC’s The Debaters to The Calgary Stand-Up All Stars to the closing night gala, hosted by Foley.
