Aug. 28: Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 8007 Bowness Rd N.W. invites everybody for the community supper from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., for a free, nutritious meal. Children are being cared for by the Kids Care Club.

Oct. 1: Transitions is a 15-week peer support program serving those who have recently separated or divorced. The sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. and begin on October 1st at the Catholic Pastoral Centre, 120 17th Ave. S.W., Registration (by phone, e-mail, or in person) will be necessary before the beginning of the program. Oct. 2: Effective Co-Parenting — Putting Kids First is a five-week program and is held on Wednesday evenings starting Oct. 2 at the Catholic Pastoral Centre, 120 17th Ave. S.W. It provides strategies for improving communication and managing day to day children’s issues between separated/ divorced parenting partners.
