Read the signs

Re: “Training saves lives in avalanche,” Jan. 2.

Being able to navigate in the great outdoors takes training and brains. People who ski out of bounds do not have the brains. Here’s your sign: Out of bounds. Signs are there for your safety. Duh.

People just don’t get it. It is time to charge these people who ski and snowboard out of bounds for the cost of helicopters and rescuers to be deployed to find them because of their stupidity.
