Slogan cherished
I was born in Alberta 65 years ago and have always been proud to live in wild rose country. All my friends are upset that the PC government is erasing our cherished slogan from future licence plates. We are incredulously asked to believe that a plain Alberta plate is as significant as “Beautiful British Columbia” and Saskatchewan’s “Land of Living Skies.” Seriously?
Can the timing of this event be any more obvious to the majority of Albertans who once again feel manipulated by the arrogant and undemocratic decisions made by this in-denial PC party? It is an embarrassment to be ruled by such a mean-spirited collection of elected individuals who fail to represent the true values of their own citizens. We deserve to keep the phrase that defines our province and maintains our special image within confederation.
