FRUSTRATED HUBBY DETAILS WIFE’S REBUFFS IN SEX SPREADSHEET, SHE POSTS IT ONLINE
Communication is key in any relationship, but sending your wife a spreadsheet detailing the times and ways she rebuffed your sexual advances may not be the best way to get your point across.
A 26-year-old man discovered that the hard way after sending his wife, also 26, an Excel spreadsheet (imgur.com/cSCdYL3) covering a six-week period. The woman received the spreadsheet in an email, which she called “immature” and “inflammatory,” as she drove to the airport to embark on a 10-day business trip and promptly posted it to the popular forum Reddit (redd. it/2b1f5a).
The spreadsheet had three headings: “Date,” “Sex?” and “Excuse.”
Reasons for not having sex include: “I’m watching the show (Friends rerun),” “I feel sweaty and gross, I need a shower,” “I might be getting sick,” and “I’m too drunk and ate too much.”
According to the spreadsheet, there were three occasions where the couple had sex over the sixweek period.
The woman’s post, which has since been locked and is now readonly, has attracted hundreds of comments and the story has been picked up by the media and other websites. The photo of the spreadsheet has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.
Many commenters take sides, while others take the middle ground.
“For the sake of your sanity in dealing with clients for nine days reply back with an email. But a nice one. Even if his email was pretty lame, he is probably fearing that the past seven weeks are not only temporary, but a new way of things,” wrote depb66.
“Husband in a crisis and emotional. Best to take the high road, acknowledge his concerns and try to diffuse the situation. Getting upset will just increase the drama. What he has done is childish. He needs to get the tantrum out of his system so they can take the next steps,” wrote Altruizzy.
“He needs to understand that his ways of expressing his frustration are unacceptable, but then you both need to tackle this issue of intimacy together with open minds if you want to move past this,” Going AllTheJay chimed in.
