A new enclave on Airdrie’s west side puts home buyers close to a number of key amenities, says its developer. Bayside Estates was unveiled by seasoned developer Genesis Land Development Corp. earlier this month. The enclave is located at the heart of the masterplanned community of Bayside.

Homes in the community start in the low $400,000s are offered by ReidBuilt Homes and Airdrie-based company McKee Homes.

“The community is just 25 minutes from Calgary’s downtown core and feature stylish residences which combine estate-sized floor plans on over-sized lots with lavish finishes,” says Genesis marketing manager Jesse Coderre.

“Bayside Estates offers access to eight kilometres of pathways and canals and close proximity to eight in-district schools, daycares and shopping centres.”

Bayside Estates includes 122 lots from 38 to 50 feet. Both builders have a show home each in the community.

For McKee, it’s a model dubbed Castlerock Lifestyle. “This 2,200-squarefoot home features an over-sized garage, open living space including a deck the full width of the house,” says area sales manager Kellee Davis.

“On the upper floor, families will be pleased to find two spacious bedrooms located separate from the bonus room and master suite.

“The fully developed basement has space enough for everyone. A bedroom with a hideaway under the stairs is per- fect for every teen; a television watching and game space, space for a pingpong or pool table and a stunning wet bar for entertaining, inside and out.”

One reason buyers are attracted to the area are its proximity to the canals, Davis says. “With easy access to walking and biking paths, it’s a beautiful place to live. The wide, spacious lots, at affordable prices makes Bayside Estates a well-rounded community.”

ReidBuilt’s is a 2,182-square-foot plan called the Rockyview 2. It has a covered veranda and an unfinished walk-out basement. There’s an open-concept floorplan on the main level and the second floor has a central bonus room and master bedroom with a five-piece ensuite featuring a vaulted ceiling.
