Getting an ace on a downhill Par- 3 must be the cat’s meow because you can watch it all the way. That was the case for Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd. CEO Chris Bloomer last Thursday night at Carnmoney Golf Club.

He watched as his dialed- in smooth 8- iron landed three feet behind the pin and spun back down the slope into the hole at the 150- yard 17th. Pretty sweet. Other recent aces ... Arthur Wood aced the 109- yard third hole with a pitching wedge ... On Sept. 23, Sean Stinchcomb­e aced the same hole with a 9- iron from 155 yards away.

At McCall Lake GC’s par- three course, on Sept. 23, Bruce Falk scored the fourth ace of his career, plunking a sand wedge shot into the hole from 86 yards away. At Country Hills GC on Sept. 17,

Paul Murray netted his first ace by dunking it in one at the 135yard Talons No. 4 with a 9- iron.

At Muirfield Lakes GC on Sept. 22, Taj Merali got his first hole in one on the 142- yard 16th, using a 7- iron.

At The Hamptons GC, on Sept. 15, Terry Sickel aced the 145- yard fifth hole with an 8- iron during the third annual Inspire Golf Charity tournament.
