April 15 to May 13: The program “Effective Co-Parenting: Putting Kids First” offers skills, strategies, resources and support for parents, children and families who are moving through the process of separation/divorce. It assists parents in developing a respectful, co-operative relationsh­ip with their parenting partner. The participan­ts are from a variety of different background­s. The five week program helps the parents learn effective co-parenting skills in order for the children to maintain accessibil­ity to both parents and extended family members despite these life changes. It increases understand­ing of the developmen­tal needs of children for self-esteem and security. The next program will be held Wednesday evenings, April 15 to May 13.
