April 15 to May 13: The program “Effective Co-Parenting: Putting Kids First” offers skills, strategies, resources and support for parents, children and families who are moving through the process of separation/divorce. It assists parents in developing a respectful, co-operative relationship with their parenting partner. The participants are from a variety of different backgrounds. The five week program helps the parents learn effective co-parenting skills in order for the children to maintain accessibility to both parents and extended family members despite these life changes. It increases understanding of the developmental needs of children for self-esteem and security. The next program will be held Wednesday evenings, April 15 to May 13. To register, call 403-218-5505.
