Awards honour high school stars

The city’s top high school basketball, wrestling, swimming and diving student athletes were recognized at a banquet on Wednesday night at Jack James High School. The top winners each received a $ 1,000 scholarship and plaque from the Calgary Booster Club. They are:

Megan Ahlstrom, Centennial ( Dr. Arlene McGinn Award as top female basketball player);

Jack Drybrough, Dr. E. P. Scarleet ( Laurie Robertson Award for top male basketball player);

Callum McNeice, St. Timothy ( Tom Inkster Award for top male wrestler)

Jennifer Dang, Western Canada ( Barry Kimick Award for top female wrestler);

Jordan Bester, Queen Elizabeth ( Don Buchignani Award for top male swim or dive athlete);

Kelsey Crocker, Bishop Carroll ( Allison Godfrey Bobenic Award for top female swim or dive athlete).
