Christian Grey will now have his say

Fifty Shades sequel tells story from billionaire’s point of view

E. L. James is back for more. Vintage Books will release a fourth novel in the British author’s multimillion- selling Fifty Shades of Grey series. Vintage will publish the new book in the erotic series on June 18, the publisher said Monday.

Its title is Grey, told from the point of view of billionaire Christian Grey, whose explicit, bondage-driven romance with young Anastasia Steele became an international obsession.

As with the Fifty Shades books, Grey will be published as both an e- book and a paperback original.

In a statement issued through Vintage, a paperback imprint of Penguin Random House, James — the pen name of London- born Erika Mitchell — said she is dedicating the new book to readers who had “asked and asked and asked,” for a novel narrated by Grey.

“Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past,” she said. “Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story.”

“It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place- writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage.”

Begun as fan fiction inspired by the Twilight novels, the Fifty Shades trilogy has sold more than 125 million copies since coming out in 2011 and has been translated into at least 52 languages.

The first Fifty Shades movie came out in February, starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, grossing more than $ 500 million worldwide.

A movie sequel is in production, though the studio has not announced a release date.
