Builder known by new name, ‘commitment’ remains same
A company that’s been building homes in Calgary since 1994 will get a new name next month. Sabal Homes will be known as Hopewell Residential, sharing the brand with the company’s land development division, starting Aug. 15.
The builder and developer are both part of Hopewell Group of Companies and were separate entities until the two unified in 2013. The land division was rebranded Hopewell Residential from Hopewell Residential Communities in late 2013.
The developer master-planned Calgary communities such as Copperfield and Mahogany in the southeast and Heron Pointe in Airdrie. Mahogany is a three-time winner of the Community of the Year title at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association-Calgary Region SAM (Sales and Marketing) Awards.
“With this momentous step, we are honouring our commitment to innovation, adaptability and productivity — and while our name has changed, our commitment to great design, attainability, craftsmanship and customer service has not,” says Scott Hamilton, Hopewell’s director of marketing and communications.
Following the name change, the builder’s board of director and staff will remain in place, says the company. However, its website will become hopewellresidential.com
“Going forward, our focus is to make it easy to build your first, next and forever new home in Calgary and Edmonton’s most sought-after communities,” says Hamilton.
“We’re not your typical home builder and community developer. We look forward to showing Calgary, Airdrie and Edmonton home buyers how we’re different in the best possible way.”
Sabal currently builds in Copperfield, Mahogany and Heron Pointe, along with Riversong in Cochrane.
The builder’s options include front-attached and rear-attached garage homes, laned homes, duplexes, townhomes and condos.
