2015 JNF Negev Gala honours Dr. Lorne and Beth Price
Jason Kenney, Canada’s minister of National Defence and minister for Multiculturalism, delivered the keynote address recently as Jewish National Fund (JNF) Calgary honoured longtime community volunteers and philanthropists Dr. Lorne and Beth Price at the 2015 Calgary JNF Negev Gala. Kenney’s powerful address garnered a lengthy standing ovation.
“We were most honoured that Mr. Kenney joined us and gave a most moving and eloquent address. It was especially meaningful given his unwavering support for the people of Israel,” said JNF Calgary executive director Sandra Fayerman.
International singing sensation Dganit Daddo brought the audience to their feet for dancing.

The Prices’ list of accomplishments is impressive indeed. Beth currently serves as vicepresident of the Calgary Jewish Federation. She’s a past president of JNF Calgary and a former Jewish National Fund of Canada vice-president. In addition to her distinguished career as a social worker, she has generously shared her talents with numerous worthwhile organizations including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, the Alberta Cancer Society, CanSurmount, Jewish Family Service Calgary and the Calgary JCC.
Dr. Lorne Price is a wellrespected, award-winning gastroenterologist and Clinical Professor of Medicine whose volunteer efforts have benefited the Calgary Opera and Beth Tzedec Congregation.
Proceeds from the JNF Negev Gala will support the establishment of the Dr. Lorne & Beth Price Children’s Therapeutic Playground at the Herzog Hospital in Jerusalem.
