NEW HOMES UNVEILED IN REDSTONE, SADDLESTONE

Launches continue active month in city’s northeast sector

Calgary’s northeast side continues its busy month on the new home market with show home parade launches in two communities.

Saddlestone unveiled show homes last weekend and Redstone lifts the curtain on a parade of its own Saturday at noon.

This follows early September announcements on the construction kickoff of two new northeast Calgary communities, with Genstar Development Co. now moving dirt at Savanna in Saddle Ridge and Walton Development and Management doing the same for Cornerstone, which is east of SkyView Ranch.

REDSTONE

The community master-planned by Qualico rolls out 12 show homes in the front-attached garage and laned home segments. Laned homes include the Aberdeen and Laurier II by Broadview Homes, NuVista Homes’ Elina and Harvard II and Trico Homes’ Rowan II and Delbridge III. Then there’s the Wysteria and Venture by Creations by Shane Homes and Innovations by Jayman’s Renew and Avid models. Creations by Shane Homes is a new addition to the builder group in Redstone.

For attached garage homes, it’s Broadview’s Cascade III and the Santiago 6 by Pacesetter by Sterling Homes.

The show home parade launch event is themed “around the world” and starts at noon. This launch follows the release of 68 lots in the community’s sixth phase of development and 197 in phase 52.

“Redstone sold incredibly well when we released our last set of lots last year,” says Qualico’s communications manager Maribeth Janikowski, adding there was strong demand for these new opportu- nities. A number of factors have helped drive interest in Redstone, she adds.

“It is a pretty community with lots of pathways and con- nection areas and lots of green space,” says Janikowski. “Now that Stoney Trail is complete, access to the rest of the city is great from Redstone. You’re quite close to Deerfoot and to Stoney Trail.” For more information, visit: www.qualicocommunities.com/ redstone/

The community both developed and built by Genesis has three new show homes. The lineup includes its 2,228-square-foot Bentleigh, the 2,629-square-foot Windsor, and the Carlton, which is 1,954 square feet. All three models are two storeys with a two car front-attached garage. These start from the $510,000s.

Genesis corporate marketing manager Jesse Coderre says more than 1,000 people were on-hand for last weekend’s launch, and the community’s latest phase is more than 50 per cent sold out. These show homes are part of the community’s seventh phase of development.

“We have a lot of great ponds and outdoor features in Saddlestone,” Coderre says. “These show homes happen to sit right to the north of one of Saddlestone’s largest ponds, which offers great views for the homeowners that live on that street.”

Genesis also offers duplexes and townhomes in Saddlestone. The Ashbury townhomes are new to the community and prices start from the $220,000s, before tax. There are three townhome models available, including the two-storey garden townhomes starting from 838 square feet, the courtyard townhome starting at 1,499 square feet and the pond townhomes aptly named for bordering one of the community’s ponds, that start at 1,738 square feet.
