Justin Trudeau’s lavish visit

-

Re: “No pipeline promises from federal ministers,” April 26.

The federal cabinet’s most recent expensive meeting was held in Kananaskis. While our PM might want us to believe that he continues to hold out the olive branch to Albertans, and extend goodwill by injecting our economy with a boost from this visit, there are some of us who might think that this gesture feels more like a slap in the face.

Many of us in this province have had to decrease expenses way back — due to wage losses or cutbacks — and yet Justin Trudeau and his entourage spent our taxpayer dollars to enjoy a lavish few days.

The insensitivity of his office will not go unnoticed by those Albertans who cannot find work despite their best efforts.
