Finance minister needs a math lesson

Re: “Finance minister to woo financiers in Toronto, New York,” April 26.

Perhaps Finance Minister Joe Ceci didn’t get the memo, but when you are grossly spending more than you have, the way out of the problem is to actually reduce your spending, not limit how much more additional spending you will make.

Here is some simple math for him to keep this straight. If you only have $10 to spend, planning on spending $11 instead of $13 does not fix your problem.
