Ongoing: Every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. the Dorcas Ladies meet for Bible Study, crafts, making sandwiches for the food bank and pie baking at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, at 8007 Bowness Rd. N.W.

May 4: First Alliance Church (12345 40th St. S.E.) The choir and orchestra present: Then Sings My Soul, an interactiv­e worship service and singalong of timeless hymns at 7 p.m. Free to all.

May 4: Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (8007 Bowness Rd N.W.) invites everyone to a community supper from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a free, nutritious meal.

May 5: Drop-in Christian Meditation with Engeline Piet from 7 to 8 p.m. at the FCJ Centre (219 19th Ave S.W.). Cost is free/$20 suggested offering is gratefully accepted at the door. RSVP is encouraged to ensure we have enough snacks for everyone.

May 6: Taize Evening of Guided Prayer with the FCJ Sisters will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the FCJ Centre (219 19th Ave S.W.). Cost is free/$20 suggested offering is gratefully accepted at the door. RSVP is encouraged to ensure we have enough snacks for everyone.

May 6 to 8: Hillhurst United Church (1227 Kensington Close N.W.) is presenting an amateur production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolo­r Dreamcoat. Performanc­e begins at 7 p.m. on May 6 and 7, and at 2 p.m. on May 8. Adults $20, Seniors/Youth $15. Rush seats available at the door or advance purchase online via brownpaper­tickets. com. Hillhurst United Church is fully accessible and offers enhanced audio for the hard of hearing.

May 7: Renfrew United Church (956 Radnor Ave. N.E.) May Fair. Do you have items to sell? Rent a table (small $10/large $15). Call (403) 277-1571 to reserve your tables. Bake sale, book sale and soup/pie luncheon. Fair runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
