Cypress sets a luxurious tone
Talk about a first impression.
Builders use a variety of elements to create a sense of arrival in a home. But Jager Homes stepped outside the norm with the foyer feature in its new show home for Five Lakes at Rock Lake Estates.
Through the front door, there’s a luxurious wine and cigar showroom. It’s a tasting and storage space, enclosed in glass, with tracks for 136 bottles of wine and a 150 cigar humidor.
The Cypress 4A is 2,662 square feet with three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and now on display at Rock Lake Heights N.W.
The home also has a double bay and single bay garage.
The show room sets the tone as a home designed for high-end entertaining. The wine room’s primary wall is Eldorado Countryside Cypress Ridge Cultured Stone, which is an ongoing theme that brings a feeling of old world elegance throughout the home.
Beyond the wine feature, the home’s foyer makes an impression with a soaring open-to-above feature overlooked by a second floor loft. Above the door is a large window that showers the space with natural light.
The back stretch of the main floor is open and bright.
An L-shaped gourmet kitchen faces a great room and dining area, which sit against large rear-facing windows.
The dining area features a builtin hutch with an accent wall that carries over the stonework from the wine room. This also surrounds the great room fireplace.
The show home is staged with a dining table that seats eight people, displaying that the space can comfortably cater to large gatherings.
A few steps from the table is a door that steps out to a deck that stretches the full width of the home. From the show home, the deck looks out to one of the naturally occurring lakes in the community, which inspired its Five Lakes name.
This view is also available from the kitchen, which is headlined by an expansive island under pendant lighting. It has a sink and extended eating bar. While the eating bars in many kitchens typically seat three or four, this one easily fits five. The island is bookended by built-in shelving.
The kitchen also boasts an open-range gas stove, full-height cabinets and stainless steel appliances, including a fridge with French doors. There’s also a spacious butler’s pantry featuring shelving with glass fronts. It connects to a mudroom with a bench and coat hangers, which accesses the attached garage.
On the second floor, the master bedroom and its accessories cover the back wall. It features a vaulted ceiling complemented by thick beams reminiscent of a high-end ski chalet.
Its ensuite stars a curvy freestanding tub flanked by his and her vanities and a shower closed off by a glass door. The ensuite also links to a large walk-in closet.
Also on the second floor are two secondary bedrooms that sit side-by-side and a full bathroom. They’re across the hall from a laundry room with a front-load washer and dryer.
The bonus room looks over the front yard and, like the master bedroom, has a vaulted ceiling with beams.
The basement is a walkout and fully developed. It has a wet bar, rec area, bedroom and bathroom. In the show home, the rec area contains a grand piano.
