Island oasis: Stylish bar stools that offer comfort and durability

You’d be hard-pressed to find a new home that doesn’t have an open-concept or an island in the kitchen, so it comes as no surprise that bar stools are now an important part of decorating.

This simply used to be the stool you bellied up to at the bar on to enjoy a smart cocktail. But today’s islands are where the family gathers for a casual meal, kids do homework, or are the go-to for entertaining guests (still enjoying that smart cocktail).
